Barack Obama

A much-overlooked comment by Barack Obama is getting a closer examination now that Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie has come up short in his plan to take care of a pressing election 2012 concern for the Democrats by producing Obama's birth certificate from the state's archives.

The comment, by Obama himself at a 2009 international meeting, suggested he was born seven months earlier than when his official story has claimed all along.

Freudian slip, misstatement or the truth leaking out?

It was in April 19, 2009, at a press conference Obama gave at the Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago, Obama responded to an hour-long diatribe that had been delivered by Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega at the meeting the day before, and Obama suggested he was born in January 1961, three months before the Bay of Pigs invasion.

Specifically, Obama rejected Ortega's attack on the United States for the attempted Bay of Pigs invasion during the Kennedy administration by explaining: "I'm grateful President Ortega did not blame me for things that happened when I was three months old."

The Bay of Pigs invasion happened in 1961 and blotted the presidency of John F. Kennedy, according to a report from his presidential library:

"The disaster at the Bay of Pigs had a lasting impact on the Kennedy administration. Determined to make up for the failed invasion, the administration initiated Operation Mongoose – a plan to sabotage and destabilize the Cuban government and economy. The plan included the possibility of assassinating [dictator Fidel] Castro. Almost 50 years later, relations between Castro's Cuba and the United States remain strained and tenuous."

John F. Kennedy

But the Bay of Pigs invasion happened in April of that year and the official birth date given for Obama is Aug. 4, 1961. To have been born three months before the Bay of Pigs invasion would have placed President Obama's birth date in January 1961.

Obama's comment that he was born three months before the Bay of Pigs invasion was reported by Fox News, the Christian Science Monitor, and ABC News.

If Obama had been born in January 1961, that would have given his mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, some seven months to recover from the birth of baby Barack Obama Jr. before she travelled from Hawaii to the mainland to attend college.

As WND has reported, the documentary evidence shows that within three weeks of Aug. 4, 1961, Ann Dunham was in Seattle with the infant Barack Obama Jr. Dunham enrolled at the University of Washington in extension courses beginning Aug. 19, 1961, and she remained in Seattle attending the University of Washington, returning to Hawaii only after Barack Obama Sr. left Hawaii in 1962 to attend graduate school at Harvard University.

WND has reported that in 1961, Obama's grandparents, Stanley and Madelyn Dunham, could have made an in-person report of a Hawaii birth even if the infant Barack Obama Jr. had been foreign-born.

Hawaiian law also provided for documentation to be generated from a family's "late birth" report which could have been presented by the family to the Hawaiian Department of Health even months after a baby was born.

The questions about the birth date are expected to bring additional pressure on state officials to release the information they have on Obama's birth, including the long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate if one exists.

The transcript notes clearly show that Raoul Castro, when speaking in advance with Ortega, considered Obama's birthday as Aug. 4, 1961.

Ortega, in his speech, noted he was handed a note from Raoul Castro that said: "Daniel, el Presidente Obama nació el 4 de agosto de 1961, tenía 3 meses y medio, cuando se logra la victoria en Playa Girón el 19 de abril de ese año …" [translated: "Daniel, President Obama was born on Aug. 4, 1961, he was three-and-a-half months old when victory was achieved on April 19 of that year …"]

WND has reported that Obama has made numerous slips regarding important aspects of his official nativity story.

During the 2008 presidential campaign, Obama claimed that his father was part of a JFK-era airlift to bring Kenyan students to the United States to study in America.

WND research in the Jackie Robinson papers archived in the Manuscript Division at the Library of Congress shows conclusively that Obama did not arrive in Hawaii on any Jackie Robinson-arranged Kenyan airlift, including the airlift financed in part by the Kennedy family.

The manifest of the 81 students actually flown from Kenya on Sept. 9, 1959, in an airplane chartered by Jackie Robinson does not contain Barack Obama Sr.'s name; by the time of the Sept. 9, 1959, airlift to New York City, Barack Obama Sr. was already in Honolulu, enrolled in classes as an undergraduate student.

Then in a speech Obama delivered from the pulpit of the historic Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church in Selma, Ala., on March 4, 2007, Obama argued he owed his very existence to Selma. A transcript of the speech as well as a video clip posted on YouTube.com allow precise analysis of the exact words Obama spoke that day to the Selma congregation.

A few minutes into the speech, Obama began discussing the protests in Selma and Birmingham, Ala., that were instrumental to Dr. Martin Luther King building the civil rights movement in the 1960s.

He invented some dialogue in which he mused, "It worried the folks in the White House who said, 'You know, we're battling Communism. How are we going to win hearts and minds all across the world if right here in our own country, John, we're not observing the ideals set forth in our Constitution, we might be accused of being hypocrites?"

Obama continued: "This young man named Barack Obama got one of those tickets and came over to this country. He met this woman whose great-great-great-great-grandfather had owned slaves. But she had a good idea there was some craziness going on because they looked at each other and they decided that we know that the world as it has been it might not be possible for us to get together and have a child."

The problem is the first Selma march took place on March 7, 1965 and Barack Obama Jr. was born in 1961, even if the actual date turns out to be in January 1961 instead of the officially stated date, Aug. 4, 1961.
